Teazers boss Emmanuel "Lolly" Jackson and his manager appeared in court on Tuesday on charges of fraud and contravening immigration law, Johannesburg police said. Media reports said that 11 exotic dancers from Russia and the Ukraine were also being questioned.

Teazers boss Emmanuel “Lolly” Jackson and his manager appeared in court on Tuesday on charges of fraud and contravening immigration law, Johannesburg police said.

“He appeared at the Edenvale magistrate’s court on two counts of fraud and one of contravening the Immigration Act,” said police spokesperson Captain Jackson Masondo.

Jackson’s manager, Ricardo Fabrie, was also arrested on the same charges.

The Saturday Star and South African Broadcasting Corporation reported that 11 exotic dancers from Russia and the Ukraine were also being questioned, but Masondo said that he could not confirm this.

Masondo said the pair were arrested by Germiston police on Friday after they had been placed under investigation.

Both men had their bail of R7 000 extended and were expected to appear in the same court on June 26.

The case was postponed for further investigation.
