The Congress of the People (Cope) has launched a political leadership college in Gauteng, the party said on Sunday.

Party spokesperson Palesa Morudu said the college was launched by Cope’s deputy presidents, Mbhazima Shilowa, and Lynda Odendaal, at the University of Johannesburg on Saturday.

“The purpose of the college is to develop a skill base among Cope members and aspirant members. The college was launched in Gauteng, but we are looking at means to expand to the rest of the provinces,” she said.

Morudu said registration into the college was already under way since it launched over the weekend.
