Think about the last 10 years: can you name a special South African who is gone but not forgotten? Someone whose life still influences yours, even though they are six feet under? The Mail & Guardian invites you to help compile an end-of-decade list of the famous, infamous and should-be famous. From Walter Sisulu and Govan Mbeki, to Miriam Makeba and Brenda Fassie, or Chris Barnard and Nkosi Johnson. Send your nomination, with a 50-word motivation to editoronline@mg.co.za, under the subject line: "Gone but not forgotten". Or you can leave your thoughts in our comments section. We'll publish some of your nominations online and select the best for our year-end edition on South Africa in the noughties. TOPICS IN THIS ARTICLE
