Sky-high World Cup prices? Let us know

MAIL & GUARDIAN ONLINE REPORTER JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA - Mar 08 2010 00:00

The Mail & Guardian is investigating the cost of the Soccer World Cup to foreigners and locals. Will we face sky high prices for transportation and accommodation? The industry tells us one thing but what's happening on the ground? We need your help finding out.

If you're planning on travelling to or around the country for the world cup, please drop us an email answering the following four questions.

  1. Are you intending to attend World Cup matches in SA and where are you coming from?

  2. Have you been able to book your flights -- both international and internal, and how affordable were they?

  3. In terms of accommodation: have you tried booking and what was the process and prices like?

  4. Aside from flights -- how do you intend to get around the country?
