Bulls crush Sharks at Loftus

Lack of depth came back to haunt the Sharks when they were trounced 33-3 by the Blue Bulls in the Vodacom Cup semifinal on the Loftus C-field on Saturday.

The Blue Bulls were better organised and more polished and fully deserved the win to retain their unbeaten record.

Francois Brummer again dictated the course of the match with good tactical play as he did against Western Province last weekend.

The Blue Bulls were only 13-3 up at the break but by then it was clear the Sharks didn’t have the firepower or the talent to turn the match around.

Tiger Mangweni and Stephan Dippenaar were also
outstanding and used the possession to good effect in a match where the rain at times really pelted down.
