Kevin Pietersen has apologised for swearing in a Twitter outburst that revealed he had been dropped from England's Twenty20 and one-day international squads for the forthcoming series against Pakistan. Pietersen used a profanity in a Twitter posting that was quickly deleted on Tuesday. The batsman now says that "it was something that wasn't meant for the public domain and I apologise for it entering the public domain and I also want to apologise for the language I used". National selector Geoff Miller added that "there are certain things I did not enjoy and I let him know those and now we will move on". Pietersen spoke on Wednesday before making his first appearance for Surrey at the Oval as part of a loan from Hampshire. -- Sapa-AP TOPICS IN THIS ARTICLE
