National Credit Regulator

The National Credit Act regulates consumer credit in South Africa. Amongst a broad range of consumer credit matters, the NCA specifically makes provision for debt-re-organisation of overindebted consumers.

The National Credit Regulator (NCR) accredited four companies as Payment Distribution Agencies (PDA).

In terms of signed service level agreement between the NCR and the PDAs; the companies collect and distribute funds on behalf of consumers under debt review. The agreement
also requires a quarterly audit review of the
effectiveness of the PDAs.

The National Credit Regulator (NCR) seeks to obtain the services of a suitable supplier to conduct the audits of all four PDAs, two of which are based in the Gauteng Province, one in Potchefstroom in the North West Province and the other one is in George in the Western Cape.
