Cape dance pick: December 2 2011
The Cape Dance Company presents a repertoire of neoclassical ballets in a programme that includes two works by acclaimed American choreographer Christopher L Huggins: the premiere of When Dawn Comes and a restaging of the Enemy Behind the Gates, a confrontational work created in a militarist style, with haunting images and striking costumes.
Also on the menu is David Krugel’s The Nature of Being and Michelle Reid’s God’s Waiting Room, which ponders the question: “What happens at the exact moment of death when the spirit leaves the body?”
