Toya Delazy and Donald nominated for BET Awards

The awards take place at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday June 30 2013. The pair will be competing against Nigeria's 2Face Idibia and Ice Prince, Ghana's R2Bees and Radio, and Weasel from Uganda. Last year Ghana's Sarkodie won the award.

Pop singer Toya Delazy received three South African Music Awards this past weekend for best newcomer, best pop album, and Jax Panik won the best producer award on Friday for their work on Toya's album, Due Drop [Deluxe].

Donald was a winner at this year's Metro FM awards taking home the best produced album and best styled artist/group awards for Train of Love.

Rapper Drake has 12 nominations, including best male hip-hop artist and video of the year, while Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz received eight nominations.

Performers include the likes of Chris Brown and R Kelly, and the show will be hosted by actor and comedian Chris Tucker.
