  • The Hussle promises to treat party-goers to a unique multi-sensory experience. Hosted at a secret, ultra-luxurious inner-city location, The Hussle will offer four different 1970s-themed groove rooms and entertainment. The full experience includes two dance floors, a line-up of funk DJs, a live jazz band, performances as well as live installations.

Circles of Support is a fundraising performance featuring Anne Hirsch, Nik Rabinowitz, Coda, iKapa Dance Theatre, Aviva Pelham and many more in support of the Hanover Park Service Project, an initiative of the Perinatal Mental Health Project. All proceeds from the ticket sales will go to support the University of Cape Town’s Perinatal Mental Health Project.

  • Mass Hysteria, the stand-up comedy tour, takes politics to the people. Now in its third year, the show features some of South Africa’s funniest “ministers” as they assume office — all with the aim of “making South Africa greater through better leadership, the best comedy and most delicious chicken”. The new Cabinet includes: John Vlismas  — public attacker; Tumi Morake — minister of hormones, carbohydrates and calmettes; Nik Rabinowitz — minister of mental health, Sunday lunch and personal hygiene; Alan Committie — minister of headucation and literasy; Chester Missing — minister of non-human settlements; Joey Rasdien — minister of haircare, skincare and apnoea; Ndumiso Lindi — minister of culture; and Mpho Popps — minister of single fathers and roads.

Polokwane 

  • Now in its second year, the DStv iRock Music Festival is headed to Limpopo. Aspiring music performers will be given an opportunity to perform alongside the likes of Micasa, DJ Fresh, Black Coffee, Cassper Nyovest and DJ Clock in the “DStv iRock Battle for the Stage” talent search. The winner will be included in the line-up of performers on Saturday and will also receive a cash prize of R5 000.
