The 12-hour-music show, which was held at Ellis Park Stadium kicked off at 11am with concertgoers only trickling into the stadium after 4pm.

The music festival offered a bit of something for everyone with a musical variety of pop, hip-hop and rock music.

American rapper B.o.B and rock band Fall Out Boy at the press conference a day before the music festival. B.o.B said he would like to one day collaborate with rap-rave band Die Antwoord.

Singers Jason Derulo and Jessie J were also part of the I Heart Joburg Music Festival line-up. Derulo and Jessie J were excited about trying out some the South African dishes while they are in the country.

Singer T-Pain, who is popularly known for using Auto-Tune, gave an impressive performance with his popping and locking dance moves on stage. He performed some of the hits he is featured on like Rick Ross’s Mayback Music 2, Flo Rida’s Low, Chris Brown’s Kiss Kiss and DJ Khaled’s All I Do Is Win.

B.o.B livened up the stage with his amazing energy during his performance, and his interaction with the audience. From crowd surfing to handing out t-shirts, B.o.B was a crowd pleaser.

Panic! At The Disco’s bass guitarist Dallon Weekes was all suited up along with his band members. Talk about rocking in style.

Brendon Urie, lead vocalist of Panic! At The Disco, stole the show with his flawless vocal performance. The Las Vegas band had the audience eating out of the palm of its hand with a rendition of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.

It was not Jason Derulo’s amazing abs that got the crowd all excited, but his hit single Wiggle. He performed older and recent hits like Whatcha Say, Marry Me and Trumpets. Derulo closed his set with the chart topping single Wiggle and thanked the fans for attending the festival.
