This weekend, things hot up in the laid-back venue when four of the town’s craftiest bands combine to make what is being termed A-Freeka Underground. Last weekend, Melville experienced a little renaissance and perhaps this weekend “Meldene” can do the same. On the bandstand, catch Afro-punk rockers the Blk Jks (no further description needed here), Afro-jazz sophisticats the Fridge and the Muffinz and old-school reggae reliables, Tidal Waves.
