Choreographer Sifiso Kweyama is the company’s manager and rehearsal director, and his work shows him to be a talent on the rise. “As grass is burned so that a new growth can occur so that livestock can graze to survive, so is the story of our experience of fighting for democracy,” reads the choreographer’s statement. It draws inspiration from the work of poet Mak Manaka and is directed by Jerry Mofokeng.
