Audiences just cannot seem to get enough of the comedian’s merciless evisceration of that lesser life form known as the motivational speaker. McIlroy scabrously subjects corporate motivation and “sales-speak” to a rigorous shakedown. The show’s director, Sue Monteregge, has described it as “single-handedly transforming solo theatre into an extreme sport”.
