Theatre: The Miser

Sylvaine Strike's Fortune Cookie Theatre Company specialises in physical performance with an archaic European touch --- think of Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge! or the movies of Jean-Pierre Jeunet.

Now, in partnership with the French-South Africa Seasons, the company presents The Miser, a contemporary interpretation of Molière’s timeless classic written in 1668. The work is described as a “deliciously mean comedy… The Miser magnifies the madness of a father’s greed, paranoia and suspicion.” With Lionel Newton, Mpho Osei-Tutu, Atandwa Kani and Kate Liquorish.
