The South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance (Afda) hosts an annual film festival.

This year it will show more than 50 new films by third-year graduates and fourth-year honours (postgraduate) students. The festival will also go online for the first time, which will be driven by the Afda digital innovation laboratory.
