Exhibition: Body Worlds

Cape Town

Blue Ocean Exhibitions and anatomist Dr Gunther von Hagens's Body Worlds & The Cycle of Life has made its African premiere.

The initially controversial exhibition of 200 plastinates — human specimens preserved through “plastination”, a process invented in 1977 by Von Hagens — has been shown in more than 70 cities. The show reveals the complexity, resilience and vulnerability of the human body through anatomical studies of the body in distress, disease and optimal health.
