They are also rumoured to make young girls weep (with joy). With diverse influences including sounds from Senegal, boy bands, George Michael and a cappella jazz, they have been labelled makers of “eclectic soul”. One of the most talked about up-and-coming bands, according to local music blogs, their debut 11-track album, released in May, is called Have you Heard? It is a “refreshing change from run-of-the-mill rappers and house DJs that dominate the music scene”, says their record label.
