Mclachlan calls it four exhibitions rolled into one experience and uses a variety of mediums. The drive-in is at the heart of it, a surface and sounding board for all manner of projections. For the past 10 years Mclachlan has made his home atop Lister Building in the city centre, giving him a unique (and spectacular) view and way of making sense of Jo’burg. In this exhibition he brings together his past works, having been strongly influenced by a sense of place, and presents them in “conversation” with his more recent works.
