‘No evidence’ Prince Philip ordered Diana’s killing

The coroner hearing an inquest into the death of Britain’s Princess Diana in a car crash said on Monday there was no evidence that her former father-in-law, the Duke of Edinburgh, had ”ordered Diana’s execution”. Diana died in a crash in 1997 along with Dodi al-Fayed, whose father, Mohamed al-Fayed, has accused Queen Elizabeth’s husband of being behind her death.

Pathologist: No sign Princess Diana was pregnant

The body of Princess Diana showed no physical signs of pregnancy, Robert Chapman, the pathologist who carried out her post-mortem, told the inquest on Monday into her death. But he acknowledged that while her womb and ovaries did not show any of the normal signs of pregnancy, those would not have been seen if the pregnancy was less than three weeks old.

Diana inquest hears of dark car, flash in death tunnel

The car carrying Princess Diana and her boyfriend, Dodi Fayed, may have bumped into another large, dark-coloured car shortly before crashing, the inquest into their deaths heard on Monday. Witness accounts previously have talked about a white Fiat Uno or a similar small vehicle, but Jean-Claude Catheline and his wife, Annick, said they saw two dark cars travelling at speed.

Diana jurors revisit last moments in Ritz hotel

A British jury on Tuesday visited the Ritz hotel in Paris where Princess Diana and her boyfriend, Dodi Fayed, spent their last hours together before their deaths in a fatal road crash 10 years ago. On the second and last day of a familiarisation trip to the French capital, the 11 jurors in the inquest into their deaths walked through the corridors of the luxury hotel.

Jurors retrace Diana’s last steps in Paris

Jurors in the British coroner’s inquest into the death of Princess Diana on Monday started retracing her final, ill-fated journey from the Paris Ritz to the underpass where her chauffeur-driven Mercedes crashed. Travelling under heavy police escort, the 11 jurors set off from the Ritz Hotel on Paris’s Place Vendome.

Diana ‘pregnancy’ may never be proved, inquest told

It may never be known if Princess Diana was pregnant when she died with her lover, Dodi al-Fayed, in a high-speed Paris car crash, the inquest into their deaths was told on Wednesday. Dodi’s father, Harrods luxury storeowner Mohamed al-Fayed, says the couple were killed in 1997 by Britain’s security services on the orders of Queen Elizabeth’s husband, Diana’s former father-in-law.

Prince recalls Diana, ‘best mother in the world’

Princess Diana’s family solemnly marked the 10th anniversary of her death on Friday, with her younger son eulogising her as ”the best mother in the world”. The bishop of London used his sermon to call for an end to the sniping between Diana’s fans and detractors, and a priest who has led an annual memorial said it may now be time to let go.
