Bucs clinch it with two

Goals in reach half by Lucas Thlomelang and Sibusiso Mazibuko gave Orlando Pirates a 2-0 victory over Dynamos in a Castle PSL match at Giyani Stadium on Saturday.

Pirates dominated the first half but took their foot off the gas in the second stanza to allow Dynamos right back into the game.

Pirates scored in the 7th minute when Thlomelang headed home a well taken Steve Lekoelea corner kick. Seven minutes later Dynamos defender, Gerald Mtshali, did well to dispossess Pirates midfielder, Benedict Vilikazi, who was in a good position to score.

Lekoelea, who was the best player on the park, set up Jimmy Kauleza in the 39th minute but the Bucs striker headed well wide.

The second half started on a dramatic note when referee, Lawrence Monnathoko, sent off Dynamos defender Helder Muinga for a second bookable offence with just seven minutes on the clock.

The home side came close to levelling matters in the 57th minute but Thomas Ledingwan’s blistering shot was well off target.

Vilikazi was denied by the woodwork in the 66th minute but the Bucs doubled their lead in the 77th when substitute Mazibuko -on for Lekoelea – scored.

This was Pirates second win in five matches while Dynamos remain winless. – Sapa
