Durban art picks: November 4 2011

THE END (of the World as We Know It) is the title of the expansive multimedia experience opening this week at artSPACE durban and the Collective.

? Reflecting on the multitude of meanings that can be attached to the concept of “the end”, the group exhibition runs the gamut from celebrating the death of one cycle and the birth of another to apocalyptic scenarios envisioning the ultimate collapse into nothingness. By turns terrifying and uplifting, yet always fascinating, this is certainly one of the most exciting art experiences in Durban in 2011.
