Estelle Monique Sidze

Dr. Estelle Sidze is a demographer with experience in social research and impact evaluation. She currently manages various projects within the Population Dynamics and Reproductive Health team, providing technical guidance at different stages including study design, tools development, data collection and analysis, and knowledge translation. Estelle’s research interests and expertise are in socio-demographic determinants of reproductive health behavior with focus on maternal health-seeking behavior, innovation in reproductive health, reproductive health and family planning financing, fertility preferences, and marriage behaviors.She holds a PhD in Demography from the University of Montreal, Canada and a Master’s degree in Demography from the same university. She joined APHRC in 2011 as a post-doctoral fellow prior to which she worked as a teaching and research associate in the department of Demography at the University of Montreal.She is a member of professional associations including the Population Association of America (PAA), International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP), and Union for African Population Studies (UAPS).
