Auditor-General of South Africa

The Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) has a constitutional mandate and, as the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) of South Africa, exists to strengthen constitutional democracy by enabling oversight, accountability and governance in the public sector through auditing, thereby building public confidence.

To help fulfill this mandate, the AGSA invites bids for the following requirement:

Suitably qualified private audit firms, or specialized audit service companies or specialized IT firms that are not private audit firms, are invited to submit their bids before the closing date.

NB: Bidders are kindly requested to view the terms of reference on the website to verify whether they are eligible to bid prior to buying a CD.

A compulsory briefing session will be held on 21 June 2016 as follows: Venue: Southern Sun O.R. Tambo International Airport Session 1 (regularity audit contract work): 09h30 to 12h30 Session 2 (information systems and performance audit contract work): 13h30 to 15h30

Please note: Failure to attend the compulsory briefing session will result in disqualification of the bid. Each stand-alone training office that will bid
should have separate representation at the briefing session.

Bids will be adjudicated in accordance with the applicable criteria as stipulated in the bid document mentioned below. The bid document will be available from Monday, 6 June 2016 at a non-refundable cost of R1 000 (VAT inclusive) per CD to be collected at Corporate Legal and Provisioning Services, East Wing, 1st Floor, Brooklyn Gardens (corner Veale and Middel Streets), New Muckleneuk, Pretoria. The document will also be available at the briefing session. Firms are required to acquire separate CDs for each submission to be made. No cash will be handled or received as payment for the CDs. Payment must be made via EFT and proof of payment must be presented when collecting the CD.
