Development of a Green Buildings Awareness Strategy and Materials for Homeowners in South Africa

The Climate Support Programme (CSP) of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für
Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is supporting the Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) and the Green Building Council of Southern Africa (GBCSA) in raising Green Building awareness among-st homeowners and sales agents in South Africa. This project is part of South Africa’s efforts to enhance and optimize the energy, water and resource inefficiencies of residential buildings, and to minimize GHG emissions and waste from buildings.

The scope entails three key areas of work: subject matter research covering technical, environmental, economic, social and financial aspects of green buildings; the development of an awareness raising strategy; and the formulation of materials required for awareness raising, including short videos. The project requires a pool of short-term experts.

GIZ invites eligible and professional South African companies, to request the documentation to be completed from [email protected] by 17.06.2016. Please quote reference #83232004 when requesting the documentation.
