DEVELOPMENT OF SOUTH AFRICA’S WEB-BASED NATIONAL

CLIMATE CHANGE RESPONSE MONITORING AND EVALUATION

SYSTEM – PHASE II

The Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA), in collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is seeking to appoint a qualifi ed service provider to develop Terms of Reference (ToRs) for Implementing South Africa’s Web-Based National Climate Change Response Monitoring and Evaluation System.

Central to meeting the objective of tracking a transition to a lower carbon and climate resilient economy and society is the development of a comprehensive National Climate Change Response Monitoring and Evaluation System that will enable South Africa to assess the progress and impact of its climate change responses.

DEA has successfully achieved the implementation of the fi rst phase of the system, which yielded a documented system with fully fl edged information on the design of the system.
