MITIGATION AND ADAPTATION RESEARCH FOR SOUTH AFRICA’S UNITED

NATIONS FRAMEWORK CONVENTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE NEGOTIATIONS

The Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA), in collaboration with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is seeking to appoint a qualified service provider to undertake mitigation and adaptation research for South Africa’s United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) negotiations.

South Africa’s long-term vision is to transition towards a lower carbon economy and climate resilient society. The research to be conducted is part of a broader research agenda and informs the international climate change negotiations. The focus of this work is therefore on the development of research work that will support South Africa’s climate change negotiations under the UNFCCC. The research scope is under four work packages, namely: mitigation, adaptation, support and architectural aspects of the Paris Agreement.

GIZ invites eligible and professional companies with local presence in South Africa, to request the documentation to be completed from [email protected] by 26.05.2017. Please quote reference #83258086 when requesting the documentation.
