Jo’burg high court evacuated after bomb scare

No explosives were found in the South Gauteng High Court, in Johannesburg, which was evacuated after a bomb scare on Wednesday.

”They [members of the explosives and dog unit] did not find anything,” said Superintendent Lungelo Dlamini.

Court proceedings were disrupted at 11.30am when security officials instructed everyone to vacate the court building.

Dlamini said someone had called a local radio station claiming there was a bomb at the court.

Police were trying to trace the caller. — Sapa
