India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been banned for two one-day internationals for his team's slow over rate during the second match against Sri Lanka, a top official said on Saturday. "ICC match referee Jeff Crowe has imposed an immediate two-match suspension on Dhoni for slow over-rate after conducting a hearing last night," Indian cricket board secretary N. Srinivasan said in a statement. "The Indian players have been penalised 40% of their match fees." Opener Virender Sehwag will lead India in the next two one-dayers of the five-match series, currently tied 1-1. Sri Lanka levelled the series on Friday with a three-wicket victory in Nagpur. The remaining matches will be played at Cuttack (Monday), Kolkata (Thursday) and Delhi (Sunday). TOPICS IN THIS ARTICLE
