New vehicle sales up year-on-year

SA's new vehicle sales increased by 18,6% year-on-year in January, the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of SA said on Wednesday.

South Africa’s new vehicle sales increased by 18,6% year-on-year in January to 45 135 units, the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (Naamsa) said on Wednesday.

When sales from Associated Motor Holdings and Amalgamated Automobile Distributors—which report separately—are stripped out, sales rose by 14,15% to 38 934 vehicles, compared with January last year, Naamsa said.—Reuters
