One of South Africa’s top science journalists, Christina Scott, was killed in a car crash in Cape Town on Monday morning, Eyewitness News reported.

Scott hosted the weekly Science Matters programme on SAfm and was a contributor to the Mail & Guardian.

She leaves behind two young children, fellow science journalist and friend George Claasen was quoted as saying.
