Slight relief as petrol price drops next week

The energy department has announced that the retail price of all grades of petrol will decrease by 11c a litre on Wednesday.

A litre of 95 ULP (unleaded) petrol in Gauteng would now cost R10.66.

Diesel prices will increase from Wednesday. The price of diesel with a 0.05% sulphur content will increase by 47c a litre.

The price of diesel with a 0.005% sulphur content will rise by 44c a litre.

The wholesale price of illuminating paraffin will increase by 43c a litre.

The single maximum national retail price for illuminating paraffin will rise by 57c a litre. — Sapa
