NOTICE OF THE ENERGY REGULATOR PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE TARIFF APPLICATION ON PIPED- GAS TRANSMISSION PIPELINE

The National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA) is a regulatory authority established as a juristic person in terms of section 3 of the National Energy Regulator Act, 2004 (Act No. 40 of 2004). NERSA’s mandate is to regulate the electricity, piped-gas and petroleum pipeline industries in terms of the Electricity Regulation Act, 2006 (Act No. 4 of 2006), Gas Act, 2001 (Act No. 48 of 2001) and Petroleum Pipelines Act, 2003 (Act No. 60 of 2003).

NERSA has received a tariff application for the following facility:
Transnet Limited piped-gas transmission for the Lilly pipeline (Pipeline from Secunda to Durban South) for the period 01 January 2012 to 31 March 2013.

NERSA invites all stakeholders and public to attend a public hearing regarding the above-mentioned tariff application. The public hearing details are as follows:

NERSA’s preliminary tariff determination for the above-mentioned tariff application is available to members of the public for comments on the NERSA website at www.nersa.gov.za as required by the National Energy Regulator Act, (Act No. 40 of 2004).
