Zuma appoints judges to high courts

Justices Xola Mlungisi Petse and Ronnie Pillay were appointed judges at the Supreme Court of Appeal with effect from June 1, spokesperson Mac Maharaj said in a statement on Thursday.

Justice Dunstan Mlambo has been appointed judge president of the high courts in Johannesburg and Pretoria with effect from November 1 this year.

Advocate Selby Alan Masibonge Baqwa SC and Elizabeth Mamoloko Kubushi were appointed judges of the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria with immediate effect.

Advocate Bashier Vally SC will take up a judge’s post at the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg with immediate effect.

Bulelwa Myra Pakati will take up a judge’s post at the high court in Kimberley with immediate effect. Duncan Zolani Dukada was appointed judge at the high court in Bhisho effective July 1. – Sapa
