Banyana give Zambia the boot with 2-1 win

Banyana Banyana beat Zambia 2-1 in the return leg of their African Women’s Championship (AWC) qualifier at the KaNyamazane Stadium in Nelspruit on Saturday.

Portia Modise opened the scoring in the 19th minute but allowed Zambia back into the game as Mwila Bowa equalised just two minutes later.

Modise scored again from the restart, making it 2-1 in the 45th minute.

The SA senior national women’s side won the first leg 4-1 two weeks ago in Zambia.
