M&g Hangout: Your Thoughts On The Cabinet Reshuffle

Tuesday's surprise Cabinet reshuffle, the fourth in President Jacob Zuma's five years in office, has got South Africa talking.

The move was widely criticised by opposition parties and members of the public, while the presidency said Zuma was not obliged to provide reasons for his choices.

Then join us live at 10am on Friday July 12 as the Mail & Guardian political team take your questions about what this reshuffle – which took place just 10 months before the next general elections – means.

The biggest losers of the reshuffle were the former ministers of human settlements, Tokyo Sexwale, co-operative governance and traditional affairs, Richard Baloyi, and communications, Dina Pule. They were replaced by Connie September, Lechesa Tsenoli and Yunus Carrim respectively. Zuma was slammed by opposition parties and trade unions on Tuesday for not giving Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga the chop. What do you think of his decision? Let us know.
