We pick the first winner of the #MGSelfie competition

The Mail & Guardian is pleased to announce the winner of the #MGSelfie of the week. For his rather creative selfie, @markdyoungsa won a complimentary six-month digital subscription to the M&G.

@markdyoungsa’s runner-up winner is Mandyl Dewaal (@mandyldewaal) on Twitter. 

Rodger Ferguson (@RodgerFerguson) is one of the M&G readers who is in the top three. He decided to change the headline of our front page.

We would like to thank all participants for taking time to participate in the #MGSelfie campaign. Tweet us with your #MGSelfie this Friday and you could win a complimentary six-month digital subscription to the M&G.

Here’s how:   

  • Buy the newspaper on Friday. 
  • Take a selfie and include the front page of the M&G and your face in the most creative way.  
  • Post it with the hashtag #MGSelfie and share it with us by tagging us on Twitter (@mailandguardian), Instagram (@mailandguardian), or by tagging us on your Facebook wall. 

Our social media editor will select the best selfie of the week and you could be the lucky winner of the digital subscription. 

The top three selfies will also be featured on the M&G website the following week.
