It will also feature a tribute to superstar Brenda Fassie with a line-up led by Swazi Dlamini, Zahara and Berita.   • Concerts South Africa and Hansa Pilsner present Rainbow Restaurant’s 33rd birthday concert featuring the Madala Kunene band and special guests Mabi Thobejane, Zamo Mbutho and Lu Dlamini.? Kunene has a history that goes back to the turbulent 1980s and the band Zanusi. He travelled to New York in October as part of Carnegie Hall’s Ubuntu: Music and Arts of South Africa and brings the same band to the Rainbow: Bernard Mndaweni on bass, Paki Peloeole on drums, Vincent Mthethwa on keyboards and Mdu Magwaza on sax and pennywhistle.   • Standard Bank Jazz Artist winner Nduduzo Makhathini, piano master Andile Yenana, international percussionist Thebe Lipere, Tumi Mogorosi and more will perform at the jazz, poetry and market festival Beyond the Mind of the Oppressed.
