  • Musician Dan Patlansky will share the stage with guest star Lonesome Dave Ferguson for a night of rock and blues. Patlansky is fresh off the third leg of his four-leg European tour, promoting his seventh album, Dear Silence Thieves. Ferguson is known for his trans-blues and country-dub sound and for using “a harmonica, human beat-box and vocals, recording live loops and then layering and building those loops to construct a song”.   • Cashtime family’s hip-hop stars Ma-E and Kid X are bringing the Skhanda flavour to fans in Pretoria. Both artists have made a mark on the local scene, with hits such as Ugogo and Pass N Special. Kid X was voted number seven on the MTV Base list of South Africa’s hottest MCs in 2014, and Ma-E was part of the award-winning hip-hop trio Teargas. WHEN July 25.   • Multi-instrumentalist Pops Mohamed and acoustic guitarist Dave Reynolds will performance at the Bassline for one night only. Mohamed merges indigenous and contemporary music – he plays the kora and the mbira, among other instruments, and has released 37 albums. Reynold is one of South Africa’s finest steel pan players.   • Fabergé – A Life of Its Own follows the journey of the international luxury brand. The film includes interviews with descendants of the Fabergé family and shows the private collection. Directed by Patrick Mark, the film won the Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking award at the Newport Beach Film Festival and the Jury Award: Documentary at the Beverly Hills Film Festival.
