Over the years, both the Mail & Guardian and Nando’s have become well known for their unsparing views on South Africa’s government and the people who lead it.

This year, they are joining forces for the M&G’s 2016 Cabinet Report Cards, the trusted barometer of government performance, to be released in the end of year edition on December 22.

The Cabinet Report Cards are an evaluation of each minister and deputy minister in terms of what their departments have been able to achieve in the course of the year. The M&G’s staff researches each minister and then decides how to rate them on their performance over the previous year.
