Bollywood legend ill again

Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan said he was likely to undergo a scan after suffering from "excruciating pain" over the past few days.

Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan said on Tuesday that he was likely to undergo a scan after suffering from “excruciating pain” over the past few days.

The 69-year-old actor has been treated several times for abdominal complications and was operated in February.

In a blog post late Monday night, Bachchan wrote that he suffered from pain and was taking medication.

“Last night … I rose from my desk to get to bed, but excruciating pain, stopped me in my tracks and I found it difficult to walk to stand to sit to lie down. Quite horrendous!,” he wrote.

He said he was preparing for a CT scan on Tuesday.

The actor tweeted Tuesday that he had visited his doctor but gave no further details.

Bachchan, one of India’s most famous stars, has worked in more than 180 films over four decades.

He is set to make his Hollywood debut this year in the Baz Luhrmann-directed The Great Gatsby, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio. — Sapa
