In defence of “our father who art in Nkandla”, South African Communist Party boss Blade Nzimande blames a “white conspiracy”. It is unfortunate that this blunt blade slices everyone who dares to question the king of Zumaville and the emperor of the ANC.

Every time questions are raised about Zuma’s commitment to ethics, a conspiracy theory is hatched to mobilise the ignorant masses to see Zuma as a victim. Last time, we knew he had a “bond” from Schabir Shaik, which, according to Shaik, he failed to service.

South Africa is a republic thanks to the struggle waged by our people, led by the ANC. We are not a country of the Zuma dynasty or of corrupt political cartels. – Siyanda Mhlongo, KwaDukuza

In Parliament, Zuma was angry and emotional when responding to questions about the funding of his property in Nkandla compared with his response to Marikana, which he simply called a “mishap” and “unfortunate”. At least our president is honest about where his priorities lie. – Theo Martinez, Johannesburg
