Missing teen found in Braamfischerville

The 17-year-old girl filmed being gang raped by at least seven males has been found, Soweto police said on Wednesday.

“She was found with another man in his house in … Braamfischerville, said warrant officer Kay Makhubele.

He said it appeared that the girl had been kept against her will.

The girl was en route to the Dobsonville police station just before 1pm and then to see a doctor.

“Obviously she is traumatised and we are going to take her to the doctor now,” said Makhubele.

He said the man had been charged with abduction and there was a possibility that a rape charge could be added.

This brings to eight the number of arrests made since the video of the rape went “viral” and became one of the main topics trending on social networking site Twitter.

On Tuesday seven people — including two minors — were arrested in Dobsonville after they matched the description of the boys and men in the video.
