Ousted Madagascan president Marc Ravolamanana has announced he will fly back to his home country on Saturday.
Madagascan parties have signed an agreement allowing the return of Marc Ravalomanana whose 2009 ouster plunged the country into political paralysis.
The latest attempt at a coup in Madagascar appears to have been a poorly planned putsch as the island’s civilian leader largely ignores the officers.
Madagascar troops who staged a mutiny and claimed to have seized power on the island were negotiating with the regime, a military source said.
