SA, Mozambique provinces sign agreement

The provinces of Mpumalanga in South Africa and Maputo in Mozambique provinces signed a cooperation agreement on Thursday relating to economy, health and agriculture, the office of Premier Thabang Makwetla said. This forms part of continued efforts to strengthen bilateral relationships.

Call to use condoms not heeded in SA, says Mbeki

Diarrhoea-hit Delmas residents forced to buy water

Residents of Botleng township near Delmas have resorted to buying water from local shops following the outbreak of diarrhoea in the area. Maria Sisiphuma, a mother of five children, said she buys water for R8,50 per five litres because she does not want her children to get sick.

Delmas diarrhoea started with water contamination

The initial cause of the diarrhoea outbreak in Delmas was water contamination, said Mpumalanga Premier Thabang Makwetla on Thursday. "When we noticed the outbreak in October, we discovered that the water was contaminated," he said. However, Makwetla said that more cases were reported after the water was purified.
