Rosberg puts Schumacher in the shade

Nico Rosberg was just six in 1991 when Michael Schumacher began his stellar Formula One career that has led to 84 wins and seven drivers’ titles. Fast forward 15 years, and he’s ahead, albeit in qualifying, in just his second Formula One race. The Williams driver edged out Ferrari’s Schumacher for third fastest in Saturday’s qualifying at the Sepang International Circuit, and immediately downplayed how at ease he felt in the stifling tropical heat.

Oil prices edge up amid winter fears

Crude oil prices edged up on Tuesday as weather watchers predicted a colder-than-normal winter in the north-eastern United States, raising concerns that supplies will be inadequate due to hurricane damage to refineries. A colder winter would result in increased consumption of home heating fuels.

Oil prices ease amid slow storm recovery

Oil prices eased on Friday as traders monitored the slow pace of recovery on the United States Gulf Coast after Hurricane Rita and its possible long-term impact on northern-hemisphere winter fuel supplies. Prices rose overnight on news that Gulf of Mexico oil production had started — but only slightly.
