Thomas Aiken of South Africa led from start to finish on the final day to win the $2.3-million Avantha Masters by three shots in India.
The Volvo Golf Champions in George will play host to seven of South Africa’s best golfers, including Louis Oosthuizen, Ernie Els and Retief Goosen.
Ernie Els returned to form with a tie for fourth at the Frys.com Open after rounds of 69, 66, 67 and 68, finishing three shots off the pace with 270.
"This one’s for everyone back home and for Seve," were the words of SA golfer Thomas Aiken as he walked down the 18th hole of the Spanish Open.

James Kamte raised his hands in praise after scoring a breakthrough victory with an explosive five-birdie back nine to overhaul his rivals and win the R1,8-million Dimension Data Pro-Am at the Gary Player Country Club on Sunday. In doing so, Kamte also became the first black South African to win on the tough summer swing of the Sunshine Tour.
