A former ANN7 editor says he fears for his life after a hotel he was staying at was burgled on Saturday night. He says he believes the new 24-hour news channel's bosses have something to do with it.

Anglo Gold Ashanti will have charges laid against them for pollution for a spill that resulted in uranium-laden water going into a tributary of the Vaal River. We'll take a look at the possible health and environment implications of the situation.

Syria's been in the headlines more prominently than ever, with the US and some allies looking towards armed intervention after reports that chemical weapons were used by the state in its ongoing battle against rebels. This week's weekly choon is dedicated to US President Barack Obama, who at the weekend did a 180 on armed intervention, saying he would consult Congress before making any decisions.

Meanwhile, President Jacob Zuma was due to hand over the spy tapes to the DA as per a court order, but his lawyers said they would appeal the case. Mmanaledi and Deshnee will take a look at what the president doesn't want you to know.

The powerful tripartite alliance – the South African Communist Party, ANC and Cosatu – held a meeting over the weekend and have come out of it in agreement of the disputed National Development Plan. Your hosts will take a look at what this means ahead of next year's general elections.
