The father of murdered mining magnate Brett Kebble has reached an out-of-court settlement with one of the men accused of killing his son.
John Stratton is fighting his possible extradition to South Africa in connection with the murder of Brett Kebble.

Australian businessman John Stratton is fighting South Africa’s plans to have him extradited in connection with the murder of mining magnate Brett Kebble. Currently living in Perth, Stratton is wanted by the Scorpions as an alleged co-conspirator in the brutal murder of mining magnate Brett Kebble in September 2005.

Police National Commissioner Jackie Selebi was charged with three counts of corruption and one of defeating the ends of justice in the Randburg Regional Court on Friday. He also faced an alternate charge of receiving an unauthorised gratification ”by a person who is party to an employment relation”. The case was postponed to June 26.

Glenn Agliotti, accused of the murder of mining magnate Brett Kebble, will have his trial date set when he reappears in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on July 2. Both prosecuttion and defence said a delay in the case was necessary because of other ”developments”. Prosecutor Thanda Mngwengwe said the Kebble case was ”interlinked” with other matters.
The case of Glenn Agliotti, accused of the murder of mining magnate Brett Kebble, was postponed to January 22 in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on Friday. Both prosecutor and defence lawyers requested that the matter be postponed for Scorpions prosecutor Gerrie Nel and his team of investigators to further investigate the criminal charges against Agliotti.
