Kavishaur Dwarika’s passion for technology began with a simple curiosity about how video games worked. That evolved into a lifelong commitment to building technologies that connect people and improve lives. Today, Kavishaur, 32, works as an enterprise architect for the Vodacom Group, where he helps shape the organisation’s long-term technology strategy across African markets. His work bridges the gap between engineering, business and policy — designing scalable, future-ready network and information technology solutions that support the evolution of 5G and emerging technologies such as non-terrestrial networks. A career highlight was leading the radio access network design for Orange, MTN and Vodacom during their high-stakes bids to enter the Ethiopian market. Managing complex technical deliverables under tight deadlines while mentoring junior teams sharpened Dwarika’s leadership and problem-solving skills. Holding an MSc in engineering (electronic) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Kavishaur encourages continuous learning. Outside of work, he mentors young professionals and supports animal welfare through the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
I have been fortunate to learn from a number of people throughout my career. However, I have always looked up to my parents. They have shown me what resilience truly means — no matter the challenges, they never gave up. Their work ethic, quiet strength and ability to keep moving forward through difficult times have shaped how I approach both life and leadership. That mindset of perseverance has stayed with me throughout my career, especially when navigating high-pressure projects or uncertain environments.
